Ricoh has provided the Street Edition with a metallic gray finish, a special surface texture and an orange-yellow lens ring. The closing screen has a street-like background with a special logo. The camera comes with a stylish leather soft case.

The camera has an APS-C CMOS sensor, good for 24.24 megapixels. With an adjustable ISO value between 100 and 102,400, you can also shoot beautiful photos in difficult lighting conditions. The 3-axis stabilization also provides compensation up to four stops.

The lens is made up of 6 elements in 4 groups, of which 2 are aspherical lens elements. The fixed focal length is 18.3 mm, which equates to about 28 mm in 35 mm equivalent. The aperture is adjustable between f/2.8 and f/16. You can focus in normal mode from 10 cm. In macro mode, this is even from 6 cm. The Street Edition also includes the "Full Press Snap" function, a snapshot focus when the shutter button is fully pressed. This, disables autofocus and fixes focus at the pre-set focus distance for snapshots. As a result, the camera is immediately ready to capture one-off moments.
