Olympus PEN-F body zwart
The Olympus PEN-F is the most powerful PEN to date and one of the most beautiful cameras Olympus has ever designed. Despite the small size of the compact Micro Four Thirds format, the PEN-F features the advanced optical technology of the larger, high-end Olympus OM-D cameras. Think of the world's best 5-axis image stabilisation system (with 5 EV steps when shooting at a low ISO), 50-megapixel photos and a built-in electronic viewfinder with a real-time preview of the adjustments you make. Some settings can be selected with the new Creative Dial, which gives you access to a whole range of advanced filter options. The metal dial is a striking feature of the renowned PEN design, in which contemporary and retro style elements are combined with luxurious materials and high-quality craftsmanship. The camera has classic contours, the brand name is carefully engraved in the metal body and the leather-look finish feels exceptionally luxurious.
The iconic aspirations of the PEN-F are not limited to its design. Street photography has never been so popular, and the new PEN is equipped with a built-in electronic viewfinder that gives you the feel of a classic rangefinder and helps with focusing through focus peaking and a magnification of 0.62x. The electronic viewfinder has a large OLED display with a resolution of 2.36 million dots, which shows a real-time preview of the selected settings and the changes you have made with the new Creative Dial. In addition, the 5-axis image stabilisation system ensures razor-sharp images. The large metal dial on top of the PEN-F gives you access to the latest creative functions. Olympus has succeeded in adding numerous filters and options that are also very easy to apply. The Creative Dial controls four functions, including two that are new to the PEN series: Monochrome Profile Control and Colour Profile Control.
With spontaneous shots, response time is also of great importance. The PEN-F proves its capabilities with the shortest shutter lag in its class, meaning the time between pressing the shutter button and the actual capture. The autofocus is also unprecedentedly fast thanks to the Eye Detect AF function and the touchscreen on which you can directly select a focus point. The fast burst mode of 10 fps also makes it very easy to follow moving subjects. The flexible swivelling and tilting LCD is ideal for taking photos and videos in difficult situations. By popular request, Olympus has linked the AF spot metering to the AF target, for correct exposure in all conditions. In addition, the High Res Shot function, which we know from the OM-D, delivers a resolution of no less than 50 megapixels.
