Developed for optimal DSLR image quality. The Canon EOS 5Ds R captures the unique details of every moment with fantastic clarity, thanks to its massive 50.6 Megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. By combining this large sensor with Dual DIGIC 6 processing, the 5Ds R delivers fantastic clarity and the ability to shoot continuously at 5fps.
With the help of the Dual DIGIC 6 image processor, you can produce images with unprecedented detail and immense sensitivity in low light, further supported by an extended ISO range up to 12,800. Image quality is further improved by the 61-point high density reticular autofocus, including 41 f/4 cross-type AF points, 5 dual cross-type AF points at f/2.8 and 1 cross-type AF point at f/8. The EOS iTR AF technology works together with the AF system and uses colour information from the image to produce accurate exposure metering.
HDR and Time-lapse offer more creative possibilities and help you reduce the post-production time needed to produce high-quality images. The Canon EOS 5Ds R is also very well suited to recording Full HD EOS movies with manual exposure control and at multiple frame rates, including 1920x1080 (30, 25 and 24fps), 1280x720 (59 and 50fps) and 640x480 (30 and 25fps).
You can review images on the 1040k-dot 3.2 inch Clear View II TFT LCD screen. The LCD screen features a high-transparency, reflection-resistant multi-coating for clear viewing in bright conditions. The Intelligent Viewfinder provides you with exposure information and offers 100% coverage.
A highly durable magnesium alloy body protects the components and offers increased dust and weather resistance. An EOS Integrated Cleaning System also helps to reduce dust in the camera body. Several controls on the 5Ds R are fully customisable to your preferences, and the Custom Quick Control screen is also fully configurable. CF and SD memory card support also increases the camera's compatibility. The camera also supports the optional Canon WFT-E7B V2 Wireless File Transmitter for sending your images and the GP-E2 GPS receiver for recording and tracking your location.
