Canon EF 35mm F2.0 IS USM
The Canon EF 35mm F2.0 IS USM is a prime lens with a four-stop Image Stabilizer and a maximum aperture of F2.0. This makes it ideal for low-light photography. The ultrasonic AF is fast and accurate. An aspherical lens element enhances image quality. The lens consists of 10 elements in 8 groups.
An aspherical lens delivers maximum image quality, while an aperture with seven blades provides smooth, soft Bokeh. This lens can focus as close as 0.24 m, so you can get even closer to your subjects. Thanks to its compact size, this lens fits in any bag. The EF 35mm F2.0 IS USM is ideal for reportage and street photography.
The EF 35mm F2.0 IS USM standard lens offers a natural perspective and a wider angle of view, making it a good alternative to the traditional 50mm lens when used on a full-frame DSLR. On EOS cameras with APS-C sensors, it offers an angle of view comparable to that of a 56mm lens.
The Image Stabilizer (IS) technology automatically detects when you are following a moving subject and then switches off stabilisation in that direction. This way you can take excellent shots without a tripod, in low light and with shutter speeds up to 4 stops slower than would normally be possible.
Shooting at apertures down to F2.0 allows you to take photos with a shallow depth of field. Make use of the bright viewfinder and a relatively fast shutter speed, even in low light.
The ring-type ultrasonic AF motor provides fast and silent autofocus. Of course, you can also choose to focus manually.
