The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-G80 system camera is generally known for its excellent price / quality ratio. With the included 14-140mm F 3.5-5.6 Lumix G Vario lens it is almost similar to the DMC GX8. With the Panasonic DMC-G80, you will be able to film in 4K quality at 30 frames per second (fps). The G80 thus provides a lot of possibilities, both during and after shooting. It has all the specifications to create the perfect video or photo. In addition, it is also possible to determine the focus point subsequently.
The Lumix G80 also features a 16 MP Digital Live MOS sensor that provides sharp, detailed images. The camera is equipped with a new image stabilization system. By applying a new gyro sensor technology it has created a perfect collaboration between the O.I.S. (2-axis Optical Image Stabilizer) and B.I.S. (5-axis Body Image Stabiliser). In addition, the Lumix G80 has an electromagnetic actuator in the shutter unit in order to minimize unwanted vibrations.
The Lumix G80 features a Live View Finder, which is perfect for framing your shot and capturing every detail. The LVF has a 2764K-dot equivalent high resolution and approximately 100% colour reproduction for high visibility in all conditions. By removing the Low Pass filter from the sensor of the DMC-G80, the maximum resolution improves by about 10%. In addition, the Venus Engine is able to reproduce highly realistic colours.
The G80 allows you to pre-set a choice of contrast, sharpness, saturation and noise reduction that is tailored to your particular situation and shooting style.
The Panasonic 12-60mm F 3.5-5.6 Lumix G Vario is designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, this lens offers a 24-120mm equivalent focal length range to cover wide-angle to telephoto perspectives. The 11 elements in 9 groups are extremely high-quality. Aberrations and distortion are filtered away throughout the zoom range for increased clarity. There is also support for multi-coated elements to suppress flare and ghosting.
The lens is equipped with POWER O.I.S. to ensure sharper images and / or videos.
It is also equipped with a high-quality stepping motor which ensures smooth and whisper-quiet autofocus. It is perfectly tuned with the internal focusing system for fast performance.
The rounded seven-blade diaphragm creates a smooth out-of-focus quality when working with shallow depth of field techniques. In everyday use, you will benefit from the splash and dust-resistant construction.
