The improved autofocus of the Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 detects both head and eyes, face and body, even if someone turns their head away for a moment. The powerful 5-axis Dual Image Stabilization enables a 6.5-stop slower shutter speed. To ensure that the camera can withstand intensive use, it features a dust and splash resistant construction. Optimised heat dispersion ensures stable, continuous video recording without interruption. Finally, this camera has two card slots, one for UHS-I cards and one for UHS-II cards.

Panasonic Lumix S 50mm F/1.8

The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm F/1.8 is a prime lens with a large maximum aperture of F/1.8 that is suitable for the L-Mount system. This lens is the second addition of four lenses in the Lumix S series that are the same size and have the same position of controls, which is very practical to use. The optical construction of the Lumix S 50mm F/1.9 consists of nine lens elements in eight groups, including three aspherical lenses, an ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens and a UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens. The three aspherical lenses provide both excellent image reproduction and beautiful bokeh effects. The ED lens effectively minimises chromatic aberration. The circular aperture with nine blades enables very nice round shapes in a blurred background at open aperture.
The Lumix S 50mm F/1.8 is suitable for portraits and landscapes, among other things, but it also performs well in video recording thanks to a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing. The use of micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure adjustment enables professional quality video recording. In addition, its compact size and weight of only 300 grams make it ideal to take with you on any shoot, and it is also dust- and splashproof and can withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius.
