The Nikon Z50 vlog kit contains everything you need to create a vlog. The kit includes the Nikon Z50, Nikkor Z DX 16-50 mm VR lens, a Smallrig mounting plate, a Manfrotto mini tripod and a VideoMicro Rode directional microphone for perfect audio quality.

The Nikon Z50 is the third camera from Nikon in their high-quality mirrorless camera range, and the first Z-series camera with a DX-format sensor. With the 20.9 megapixel sensor, you can capture ultra-sharp details with beautiful depth, contrasts, and colour. Film in 4K UHD quality at up to 30 fps or capture spectacular slow motion in Full HD at 120 fps Thanks to the wide ISO range of 100 to 51,200 and low-light autofocus, no detail is lost in low-light situations.

The hybrid autofocus system of the Nikon Z50 is lightning fast, precise and extremely smooth. The autofocus points cover about 90% of the frame, allowing you to take sharp photos or videos time and again. In addition, the Z50 has intelligent eye-detection autofocus in which the camera automatically focuses on your subject's eyes. Even if your subject is one in a group of people.

Shoot up to eleven images in quick succession while retaining autofocus and auto exposure. This will always give you a usable photo in situations where you have to act quickly. Would you prefer to stay in the background? Maybe the subject shouldn't be disturbed? If so, put the Z50 in silent mode for noise-free footage.

The body of the Z50 is comparable to the larger Z6 and Z7, where comfort, grip, and weightlessness are key. As a result, the camera is comfortable to hold and easy to operate with the buttons and touchscreen. The electronic viewfinder delivers an unprecedented sharp image that is comparable to a DSLRs optical viewfinder, but can also display the images with the current settings.

Nikon has released a new firmware update. These updates greatly improve AF performance with face and eye detection, including when shooting with external flashes and in dark situations.
In addition, Nikon has added support for FTZ II mount adapters and NIKKOR Z 24-120 F/4 S lenses.

The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50 mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens is a very handy wide-angle lens that allows you to make optimal use of the advantages of your DX-format camera. With an equivalent focal distance of 24-75 mm, this lens is suitable for a variety of subjects, from wide-angle to run-of-the-mill footage. The lens weighs just 135 g and is very flat when retracted. The closest focusing distance of just 0.2 m makes it easy to focus on details. The VR function (vibration reduction) ensures you always capture sharp images, even when you have zoomed in far. Shoot with shutter speeds up to 4.5 stops slower than otherwise possible. With this lens, you can capture sharp images in low light, and record stable videos even when walking whilst filming. The silent adjustment ring allows you to quickly set important functions such as manual focus, aperture control and exposure compensation with ease.

The SmallRig Mounting Plate is specially designed for the Nikon Z50 camera. This special vlogging mounting plate is useful if you want to shoot from the front of the camera for making vlogs or selfies. The plate attaches to the bottom of the camera with a 1/4''-20 screw and features anti-twist flanges to prevent the camera from twisting. On the side of the plate are several 1/4''-20 accessory holes, so you can easily mount the side or the bottom of the plate to a tripod. So you can shoot both horizontally and vertically without obstructing the screen. The side plate also has an integrated Cold Shoe holder for, for example, a microphone or extra light.

The RODE VideoMicro is a compact microphone designed to improve the sound quality of your videos. It includes a high quality cardioid condenser microphone capsule for good quality audio recordings when used with a wide variety of cameras and smartphones. The VideoMicro reduces distracting ambient noise and focuses on the audio at the front of the camera.

The microphone is made of aluminium, giving it a high level of RF rejection, and is finished in Rode's high quality ceramic anti-glare black coating. Included with the VideoMicro is a camera shoe mount with a Rycote Lyre Shock Mount. Includes a suspension structure in a wear-resistant thermoplastic material. This is very effective at minimising unwanted vibrations, and unwanted noises from movement and cable shifting. Also included is the WS9 furry windshield with an inner foam cell, designed for outdoor use to minimise ambient noise.

The Rode WS9 Deluxe is a windscreen for the Rode VideoMic Pro and VideoMic Me. The windshield is covered with open cell foam with a layer of synthetic fur over it. Designed to reduce wind noise when shooting outdoors.
