The LensBaby Velvet 85 is a macro and portrait lens. This lens can be manually adjusted and gives a soft effect to your photos at an aperture of f/1.8 to f/2.8. The LensBaby Velvet 85 has a fixed focal length of 85mm. It is a versatile lens that makes it easy to switch between taking portrait photos and capturing sharp details in macro photos.
The look and feel created when using the Velvet 85 is almost cinematic. Due to the optical design, portraits have a dreamy effect, yet with striking sharpness. This ensures expressive images. Images taken with a wide open aperture appear as if they were photographed with an analogue camera. If you squeeze the aperture, you can create a sublime gradient of depth of field.
