Gary Fong is an American entrepreneur, author and former wedding photographer. Gary Fong is mostly known as the inventor of the "Lightsphere", a line of accessories for flash photography. Discouraged by the look of flash photography because of the flashlight-shaped light source, Gary Fong found the answer in the soft lighting of a lampshade. This led to the invention of the Lightsphere. The Gary Fong Lightsphere is a dome-shaped light diffuser, which was introduced in late 2004. By 2011 it had sold more than 400,000 units worldwide.
Gary Fong Lightsphere Universal Half Cloud
This is a Gary Fong diffuser that slips over the front of any standard shoe mount flash unit, made from clear vinyl. The Lightsphere diffuser is large, round, soft and flexible. It will easily fit into your camera bag. The inside of the Gary Fong Lightsphere is completely textured to make the light dispersion even more "soft". The Lightsphere's design makes it possible to make the material more translucent, keeping the unit from losing a lot of light while actually increasing the diffusion and softness of light.
Gary Fong AmberDome
The Gary Fong AmberDome is designed for the Lightsphere II and Lightsphere Universal. When using the AmberDome in combination with your Lightsphere, the flash light will be better distributed over the total surface of the Gary Fong Lightsphere. This allows you to easily adjust the warmth in your images providing a more balanced look.
Gary Fong Lightsphere Collapsible Snoot
The Gary Fong Collapsible Snoot is designed for the photographer looking for the control and creativity of the PowerSnoot. In addition, you will benefit from the compact folding system of the Lightsphere Collapsible. The black finish of the Snoot allows for a focused, yet softened light beam. The Gary Fong Lightsphere Collapsible Snoot gives you the ability to focus the light from the flash at the subject.
