Sony FDR-AX700 4K Camcorder
The Sony FDR-AX700 4K Camcorder combines 4K and HDR recordings with a handy camcorder format. Using the HLG format, HDR (High Dynamic Range) images can be captured and processed to play on HDR screens. Compared with SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) formats, HDR offers enhancements in the area of displaying colors and contrast. Two SD card slots, a 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen and an OLED electronic viewer, manual operation, 12x zoom and a comfortable form make the AX700 an all-round camera suitable for everything; from family events to professional film and video.
Focusing 4K recordings is more difficult. Blurred recordings are extraordinary with the increase in resolution over HD formats. Sony's autofocus system uses 273 points to capture and track subjects as they move through the frame. The focus and tracking speed can be adjusted according to the project. Whether you're following fast-moving vehicles or actors that moving through the frame, the AX700 keeps track of them and ensures a sharp focus.
Sony has included S-Log2 and S-Log3 image profiles for advanced users next to the S-Gamut color space. With this functionality, you have more control over the final image through post-production processing.
