The large FourThirds sensor comes from the latest generation of Lumix G system cameras with almost 22 megapixels. Effectively, the sensor uses up to 17 megapixels, with which the sensor has a 1.6x larger surface than the 1 inch sensor that is popular in compact cameras. As with the LX 100, the wide-angle function of the multi-aspect sensor in the 3:2, 4:3 and 16:9 formats remains unique. The extremely bright Leica DC Vario-Summilux 1.7-2.8 lens with a focal length of 24-75 mm is just as important for good image quality and cropping potential. The large, integrated viewfinder, the new touch screen and numerous direct controls make it even easier for photographers to capture the desired subject. Leica DC Vario-Summilux 1.7-2.8 lens/24-75 mm

The name "Leica" stands for the high quality and resolution of this remarkable lens. The light intensity of 1.7-2.8 makes it possible to take good pictures in low light. The focal length of 24-75 mm makes the lens suitable for both landscapes and portraits.

The new Lumix LX100 II also features the Power OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) and contains 11 elements in 8 groups, including 2 ED lenses and 5 aspherical lenses with 8 aspherical surfaces. Thus, aberrations such as distortion or chromatic aberration are avoided as much as possible. Thanks to the minimum focus of 3 cm in wide angle and 30 cm in telephoto, macro-shots can be made in impressive quality.

Intuitive operation and fast focus

Although the viewfinder has a resolution of 2.8 megapixels and a magnification of 0.7x, the monitor is further developed and improved at the back. For example, it was possible to increase the resolution of the monitor to 1.2 megapixels and at the same time integrate a touch-sensitive screen, making the operation much more user-friendly.

Particularly advantageous for direct and intuitive operation are the integrated control rings and switches, including aperture and focusing ring, as well as shutter speed or exposure compensation wheel.

The Lumix LX100 II has a fast DFD autofocus with a delivery speed of only 0.10 seconds. Extra function: Starlight AF. By accurately calculating the contrast of a smaller AF area, photographers can focus and photograph even on a single star in the night sky.

4K video with high resolution and 4K photo for the magical moment

The advanced 4K Photo technology benefits greatly from the 4K Video function: fleeting moments and fast moving objects are detected at an incredible 30 frames per second. From the 4K series thus obtained, the photo can be taken with the best timing and stored as an 8-megapixel photo. New: the Auto-Marking function, with which you can jump to the right image faster, and the Sequence Shot, with which different images can be combined to create a special stroboscopic effect. Post Focus and Focus Stacking are now also included in the range of functions of the LX100 II.
