The Nissin MF-18 is a macro ring flash that you can use for your Sony camera. This flash offers a guide number of 16 (ISO 100) and has a user-friendly design. On the colour screen of the flash you can set one of the six modes of the flash; Auto, TTL, Manual, Multi, Wireless TTL (Master / External) and Custom Settings. You can also use the flash as a wireless TTL flash. The MF18 then functions as master.

The flash uses the unique 'Fine Macro' technology. This allows you to set the flash power very accurately from 1/128 to 1/1024 in steps of 1/6 stops. In manual mode you can set the power from 1/1 to 1/64 in 1/3 stops. You can also choose to correct the flash for ambient light.The flash tube helps to achieve uniform illumination. You can set this independently for both A and B. Focusing is no problem at all. Thanks to the built-in LED focus light, you can perfectly focus on the subject. In addition, the flash offers the possibility to flash on the second curtain, and it has high-speed synchronisation.

You can attach the ring flash to lenses with a filter size of 49 to 82 mm. Adapter rings with a diameter of 52, 58, 62, 67, 72 and 77 mm are supplied as standard with this product. The adapter rings with a filter size of 49, 55 and 82 mm are optionally available. For power, the MF18 uses the same battery magazine as the Di866 Mark II and Di466, which holds four AA batteries. You can also choose to use the optional Nissin Power Pack PS 8. This reduces the flash charging time and allows you to work faster. In addition, the available energy through this Power Pack is higher, so that you no longer have to change batteries halfway through a shoot. The Power Pack is available for ring flashes from other brands, but also for original flashes from Nikon, Nikon or Sony. This creates amazing light effects!
