Various photography modes
The Lomography Lomo Instant Mini has 3 modes to shoot different types of instant photos. The Lomo Instant has an automatic flash mode so you can easily shoot great photos at the touch of a button. But you can also choose the two manual modes for more creative possibilities.
- Flash-On automatic mode - In this mode, a sensor in the flash determines the amount of light and the light meter gives the correct flash intensity. The standard aperture is f/16 and the exposure can be adjusted manually.
- Flash-On manual mode - This mode is perfect for photos taken indoors. The flash is always on and you can switch between N (for normal shutter speed) and B for longer exposures.
- Flash-Off manual mode - This mode is suitable for longer exposures in the dark or for photos taken in daylight. The flash is off and again you can choose between 'N' and 'B'. Choose 'N' if you have enough light and 'B' if you want to work with long shutter speeds.
Shooting at double exposures
The camera has a built-in wide-angle lens and is compatible with various lens accessories for creative and experimental photography options that can easily be screwed onto the Lomo Instant. The Lomo Instant's B setting allows you to create beautiful light stripes by leaving the shutter open for as long as you like. The Lomo Instant is the only modern instant camera with which you can shoot double exposures. This means that you can combine several shots in one frame! Choose between blue, red, purple, and yellow with colour filters! By placing the filters over your flash, you can play with cool or warm shades. With a maximum aperture of f/8, the Lomo'Instant Camera has the largest aperture setting in the instant photography world. Shooting with f/8 gives you bright photos. And if you want every detail to be in focus, choose an f/22 aperture, for example. The Lomo'Instant Camera has a small mirror to the left of the lens. In combination with the wide-angle lens, this allows you to create picture-perfect selfies.
The camera creates credit card size snapshots of Fuji Instax Mini film, known for its sharp photos and available everywhere.
