The LaCie 2big 28TB Thunderbolt 3 is an advanced docking solution for anyone, whether you're an experienced creative professional or a novice. It features plenty of convenient ports and card slots, hardware RAID 0/1 for control over speed, capacity or data redundancy, massive capacity for archiving, fast USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 speeds, Rescue data recovery services for long-lasting peace of mind, and Enterprise-class drives that deliver top performance, so you can focus on your tasks.
The 2big Thunderbolt 3 provides 28TB of storage capacity in the form of two 14TB Seagate IronWolf Pro 7200 RPS SATA III 3.5" enterprise-class hard drives. It is compatible with both Windows 10 and macOS 10.12, although it comes formatted as HFS+ for Mac. The back of the docking solution features two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports and one 5 Gb/s USB Type-C port that allow it to interface with your host system at a speed of 440 MB/s. It can also be used to connect 4K or 5K displays, or to connect up to five additional Thunderbolt 3 environments.
Charging your laptop is also no problem with the 2big Thunderbolt 3, as it can charge your laptop with 27W through the USB Type-C port or with 15W through the Thunderbolt 3 interface (provided it's a USB Type-C laptop). It also includes a DisplayPort that supports 720p, 1080p and 4K displays.
On the front, the 2big Thunderbolt 3 has a built-in USB 3.0 Type-A port, which allows you to charge or connect USB devices. There are also slots for SD cards and Compactflash on the front, so you can upload photos and videos quickly and directly. The 2big Dock can store hundreds of hours of 4K footage and hundreds of thousands of raw images.
