The Really Right Stuff TFC-14 Series 1 Tripod is the most compact and lightest carbon fibre tripod that Really Right Stuff offers. The TFC-14 is optimized to be 11 percent lighter and 15 percent more compact than the slightly larger TQC-14 Travel Tripod. The TCF-14 is developed as a companion of the BH-30 headset and can carry loads of up to 11.2 kg without loss of stability. The TFC-14 is at least 44 cm high and has a collapsed diameter of only 86 mm. This travel tripod fits in many backpacks, making it perfect for traveling, hiking or just walking through the city. The tripod weighs only 1.2 kg.
Features of the Really Right Stuff TFC-14 Series 1 Tripod
- Reversible apex ridge: Can be rotated from a male 1/4"-20 to a male 3/8"-16, or completely removed for a female 1/4"-20 socket option.
- Perimeter mounting options: Apex accommodates three female 1/4"-20 perimeter mounting boxes to which accessories can be attached (including the RRS phone clip and stand so you can use a smartphone as an attached operation or as an example monitor).
- Removable wrist strap: Eliminates the need for extra weights. Place your own body weight against the belt to stabilize shots and let the belt slide on your hand when you're on the go, for extra safety.
- Offset leg connections: Tripods sometimes have to withstand enormous bending and torsion loads. It is crucial that the leg angle stops and that all other structural connections are well supported. Our patented offset leg joints fully support the leg angle stops, allowing loads to be transmitted straight through the strongest parts of the tripod. This also means that the tripod is more compact when it is collapsed.
- Rubber ball legs: Large diameter tear shape ensures that the side walls of the legs do not touch the ground even at the lowest settings and provides positive contact with the ground in virtually any angle.
- Twist Grip leg extension locks: semi-hard rubber provides easy adjustments and a strong grip. Anti-twist leg sections ensure that each twist lock can be operated independently.
