The Pentax KP is the latest addition to the Pentax K series SLRs. The KP is equipped with a 24 MP APS-C CMOS sensor and thanks to its strong but compact design it is suitable for both daily use and professional outdoor photo shoots in extreme weather conditions. With this strong DSLR, you can take high-resolution photos. Additionally, it's equipped with the unique pixelshift system. This gives your shots a higher image quality with fine details and a beautiful, clear colour rendition. Built-in 5-axis image stabilization prevents vibrations in your recordings and provides sharp images. The Pentax KP has an impressive expandable range up to ISO 819,200, allowing you to continue working in very low light situations, while very effectively limiting noise.

The Pentax KP is equipped with a pentaprism viewfinder that displays approximately 100% of the viewfinding image, but you can also use the 3.0-inch tilting LCD touchscreen. The LCD display can be rotated at any angle, so you always have a good view on your screen and images at high or low images. The KP's electronically operated shutter also allows you to capture photos extremely quickly at speeds of up to 1/24,000 seconds. Continuous recording is possible with up to seven frames per second. Like the other cameras in the K-series, the Pentax KP is weather-resistant and resistant to temperatures up to -10 degrees Celsius, making this a very versatile camera.

Pentax has done everything to achieve the best results with the SMC DA 50-135 mm f/2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM. First of all, it is an extremely versatile zoom lens. From short to telephoto, your lens can do it all. It has a fixed f/2.8 aperture across the entire range and is therefore ideal for the ambitious semi-professional user. It features a Quick-Shift Focus System, for quick switching between manual and automatic focusing. The power of this lens lies in the Super-Dynamic Motor which can achieve a very fast AF. Aspherical elements, special optical glass elements, and lens coatings are used to improve contrast, brightness, and sharpness. The lens is dust and waterproof.
