Description
Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III
The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III is a compact, lightweight mirrorless camera with the Live MOS sensor, which is good for 20.4 megapixels. The camera features a weather-resistant seal, a high-quality autofocus function and a powerful image stabilisation system. Olympus has also equipped the camera with a wide range of shooting functions and creative options, making the E-5 Mark III a versatile camera. This, in combination with its compact design, ensures it's easy to take the camera with you wherever you go.
20.4 megapixel Live MOS sensor with TruePic VIII image processor
The camera combines the 20.4 megapixel Live MOS sensor with the fast TruePic VIII image processor previously used in the OM-D E-M1 Mark II. This results in minimal distortion at the edges of the image and minimal noise, even at high ISO settings. The sensor is cleaned using Olympus' acclaimed SSWF (Super Sonic Wave Filter) technology, which causes the image sensor filter to vibrate 30,000 times per second when the camera is turned on to remove dust.
5-axis image stabilisation
The E-M5 Mark III features a compact image stabilization unit and integrated 5-axis image stabilization. The TruePic VIII image processor uses camera motion data from the gyro sensor and image analytics to drive the stabilization unit. This ensures that you can compensate up to 5.5 shutter speed stops at a focal length of 40 mm. When you combine the body with a stabilized lens, this even increases to 6.5 stops.
Chip integrated 121 point phase detection AF system
The camera features Olympus' chip-integrated phase-detection AF system with 121 intersections. The algorithm has been improved compared to the previous models, minimizing the chance of incorrect focus. The E-M5 Mark III uses AF/AE tracking at up to 10 frames per second. The moving subject algorithm uses AF data from the Live View and captured images to quickly track unpredictable subject movement and changes in speed.
Weatherproof Seal
Olympus has given the E-M5 Mark III a characteristic design. For example, the camera is equipped with a large viewfinder for extra view. For a good grip, the camera has thumb rests on the back and a larger grip. In addition, the camera is dust, splash and frost resistant, provided it is combined with a weatherproof M.Zuiko lens. So you don't have to worry if you end up in a rain shower. All parts in the Mark III have been considerably reduced, making the body very compact. Even with a lens, it remains handy enough to take with you everywhere.
Versatile shooting options
The camera is equipped with versatile shooting options. For example, you can shoot long exposures with Live Composite, ideal for photos with light trails. Pro Capture mode shoots at 14 frames per second from the moment you press the shutter button halfway. Thus, you never miss the moment. High Res Shot ensures that you can take photos of up to 50 megapixels on a tripod. This is achieved by shifting the image sensor in 0.5-pixel steps and taking 8 consecutive shots and then combining them. With Focus Bracketing, you can take up to 999 shots with just one press of the shutter button, changing the focus with each shot. These can later be combined with Focus Stacking into one photo with a greater depth of field.
Custom mode saves your favourite camera settings and activates them instantly by rotating the mode dial to C. With the SCN (Scene) mode, you can choose from six photography themes and their optimal settings. In addition, the E-M5 Mark III is equipped with 16 creative filter options, which can be checked on the LCD screen before taking the picture.
In addition to photos, you can of course also make videos with the E-M5 Mark III, in both C4K, 4K, Full HD and HD. It uses the integrated phase-detection AF sensor for optimal focusing. You can also count on the 5-axis stabilisation here.

You connect the camera to your smartphone via Bluetooth. With the Olympus Image Share (OI.Share) app you can quickly transfer the captured images to your phone. The Share Order feature even allows you to automatically send selected images on the camera to the smartphone when the camera is turned off.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 12-40 mm F/2.8
The Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40 mm f/2.8 PRO Lens is a wide-angle to a portrait-length zoom lens that is compatible with the Micro Four Thirds system. The 12-40 mm focal length provides a 35 mm equivalent field of view of 24-80 mm and the constant f/2.8 aperture ensures consistent low-light performance and shallow depth of field control throughout the zoom range. The constant f2.8 aperture at all focal lengths, combined with other advanced technologies including MSC and a 'Manual Focus Clutch' mechanism, opens up great possibilities for the widest range of photographic styles, regardless of distance and lighting conditions.
The lens construction integrates aspherical ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, a DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) element, an HD element, and two HR (high refractive index) elements. This provides a comprehensive reduction in chromatic aberrations and distortions. In addition, this construction ensures high image sharpness, clarity and colour fidelity. The compact and lightweight design features a dust- and splash-proof construction that allows professional use in a variety of conditions.
