Description
Hoya Variable Density II
The Hoya Variable Density II filter is a solid neutral density variable filter that provides an exposure reduction of approximately 1.5 to 9 stops. The biggest improvement over the previous model is that the handling has been improved with a rotating frame and handy button. The density of 0.45 to 2.77 darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than would normally be required. The degree of density can be easily controlled by turning the front filter ring, allowing you to pre-determine the additional exposure length required. By slowing down your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and transfer movement more easily.
This filter is made of optical glass to maintain image clarity and is housed in a slim aluminium profile ring. Due to the specific structure of the filter frame of the Hoya Variable Density II filter, a larger size lens cap can be mounted than the size of the filter itself. Calculate one filter size larger for this.
Features of the Hoya Variable Density II
