Bresser Topas Binocom 7x50 binoculars
These beautiful waterproof binoculars are specifically designed for the nautical/water sports market. With a 7x magnification, it is ideal for locating buoys, other vessels and bridges, even during storms when it is normally difficult to steady binoculars. With a lens diameter of 50mm, the binoculars are very bright and can also be used at night when it is clear. These binoculars have an exit pupil of 7.15mm, exactly the same size as that of the human eye. This means that the full brightness of the binoculars can be used and that no light is lost. Fully dioptric adjustable LE (Long Eye) eyepieces with eyecups that allow you to adjust the binoculars to your personal vision. The eyecups can be easily folded back, so that the spectacle wearer also has the full field of view. Focusing is done via both eyepieces. Once focused at a distance of approximately 20 meters, the binoculars are sharp to infinity and you do not need to readjust.
The binoculars have an illuminated 360° compass that can be used for navigation, control of other shipping, to detect any collision course early. Using the rotating distance ring around the right objective tube, distance can be estimated and the height calculated to see if you can pass under a bridge. Because the body is filled with nitrogen and is therefore waterproof, these binoculars do not fog up from the inside. The binoculars are fitted with a screw thread at the front on the central axis, making them easy to mount on any camera tripod using a tripod adapter. A red multi-coating has been applied to the large objective lenses, which has a contrast-enhancing effect.
