The Cognisys StackShot Controller is a controller that automates image collection for focus stacking. A StackShot controller for one axis is supplied. The controller is for those who want to retrofit their own macro rails or microscopes.

Focus stacking is a digital imaging process that combines multiple images aimed over different distances on parallel planes on a three-dimensional object, to produce an image with a greater depth of field than can be achieved with a single image.
